“When Paul and Jayne came to us with a half-converted van with SCA roof and partial electrics already in place, our brief was simple: finish the job, incorporate a decent-sized cooker doing it, but don’t go cabinet crazy and eat up all of the LWB’s extra space. They weren’t in the market for a full-blown tourer with everything and the kitchen sink, simply something fuss-free and spacious to take them on day trips. This all smelled like a custom pod conversion to us.
Liking the style of our GT cabinets, they plumbed for a modified GT sink unit with double cabinet and double burner, but without a fridge (which would only get in the way on breaks of less than 24 hours). To this we added a Cambee triple bed for the odd overnighter, and topped everything off with an under bed drawer and rear locker to keep clutter at bay.
From there it was over to Paul and Jayne, who rustled up their own curtains as a final touch before Billy was declared ready for the road.”
