When Birdi and Sharon approached Cambee, they had already been bitten by the campervan bug. Owning a California, they spent a lot of time camping, but after a while found it was getting a little cramped with both their dogs also enjoying the van life with them.
Drawn by the idea of standing headroom without the fuss of a pop top, and yearning to get away from the rat race onto paths less travelled, their next vehicle would have to be larger and completely self-sufficient – Bring on the Crafter Moorlander GT!
Initially the concept was one of simplicity for off grid wild camping. A no-nonsense bed across the back, basic kitchen and pull-out day bed…..
Well… like all great projects, one idea led to another and the finished result is a whizz-bang-tastic camper conversion with 3kw inverter to power the coffee maker and a bed that stows in the ceiling!
It also boasts a huge kitchen with pull-out storage and 110L fridge… now that’s what we call wild and styled camping!
