Meet Joe – Cambee’s Office Manager

Cambee Office Manager Joe Higgins at our Buckfastleigh HQ

Next up in our Meet the Team series is Joe Higgins.  Based in the Buckfastleigh HQ, Joe is probably the first person you’ll speak to when reaching out to the team.  We spent a few minutes with Joe chatting all things Cambee and camper vans.

So Joe, what’s your van? Sadly I don’t have one yet but I would LOVE to get behind the wheel soon. The dream is a VW Transporter or any old American van – maybe a Dodge!

What about your favourite road trip? This one’s easy! In 2013, my wife and I drove across the US from Los Angeles to the top of Maine and then flew out of Boston. We did 8000 miles and visited 26 States

And do you have a favourite campsite?  Sure do – Penhalt Farm in Widemouth Bay, Cornwall. It’s really close to some awesome surfing beaches and a great base from which to explore some of Cornwall’s best bits

What do you love most about working at Cambee? There is a wonderful team spirit and attitude at Cambee that I’ve never experienced elsewhere. There is a real pride in what everyone does and to be able to hand over a customer’s dream camper to them is a real highlight!

When you do get your hands on a van, what’s your dream van adventure? To tour vast plains of the American Mid-West

How about your favourite Cambee conversion?  I really loved the colour scheme and little details the team created in Arethusa for Ben and Mandy.

And lastly, any top tips for those looking to embark on their first van adventure?  Plan the first night or two and then just let the road guide you – plus, always talk to strangers!!

Please do get in touch with Joe or any of the team to pick our brains about your dream camper van project – book an online or onsite meeting here.
